Common Questions
How do I manage or cancel my Stepple+ subscription?
Subscriptions are managed entirely through your Apple ID. Open Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, then tap Stepple+. You can change plans, cancel, or restart from there. Apple's support article on managing subscriptions has more detail.
I subscribed but Stepple+ features aren't unlocked.
Open Stepple, go to Settings → Restore Purchases. This re-checks your Apple ID for active subscriptions. If that doesn't work, make sure the Apple ID signed in on your device is the one used for the purchase, then email support.
Why does my pet's step count differ slightly from Apple Health?
Stepple reads activity directly from Apple Health. When your phone is locked or HealthKit is temporarily unavailable, Stepple may show a short-term estimate from on-device motion sensors. The real Apple Health value replaces the estimate as soon as it's available again. Over a full day, totals match.
My pet's hearts dropped — what happened?
Pets lose a heart on days the daily goal isn't met, and recover a heart on days it is. The goal is whatever you set in Settings → Daily Goal. You can change it — the change takes effect the next day. Late-arriving Apple Watch syncs can also retroactively patch a recent day; the app re-grades affected days automatically.
How do leaderboards work?
Leaderboards are an optional feature you enable in Settings → Sharing. You join a board with a code shared by a friend, or create your own (Stepple+ only). Only members of a board you've joined can see your shared activity, and you can leave or block individual members at any time.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → Reset Data wipes every pet, log, customization, and any CloudKit data Stepple stores for you (leaderboards, friends, referral code). Uninstalling the app removes everything stored locally. To request manual deletion of any data the developer holds, email support@stepple.fit.
I want to report another user or content I saw in a leaderboard.
Email support@stepple.fit with the leaderboard name, the member's display name, and what you saw. You can also block a member directly from the leaderboard view inside the app — blocked members are hidden from your screens immediately.
